Jesus VazquezBorn an raised in Mexico, Jesus’ artistic career in Mexican folklore started as a child and developed professionally over the years.
Some of Jesus’ accomplishments include: 1st place for Adult Solo and Duet and 2nd place for Pro-AM Duet at the 2023 Festivales de Mexico National Competition in San Antonio TX, 2nd place at the 2003 Huapango Huasteco National Competition in Poza Rica VER, 2nd place as choreographer for the 2022 ICEST Regional Competition in Madero TAM, and 3rd place as choreographer for the 2022 State Regional Competition in Altamira TAM. Jesus became an instructor for the ITCM Folkloric Group in Madero TAM while dancing for the UAT Folkloric Dance Company in Tampico TAM until 2004, afterwards Jesus danced for the Guadalajara JAL Folkloric Ballet until 2012. In recent years, Jesus was named 2019-20 Artistic Director at Veronica Robles Cultural Center where he choreographed the 2019 Mexican Independence show in Boston MA, and danced with the Bailadores de Bronce Folkloric Group in Seattle WA and the Guadalupe Dance Company in San Antonio TX until 2022. |
