Jessica MarkovBorn and raised in Arizona, Jessica started her training at Master Ballet Academy under the direction of Slawomir and Irena Wozniak. Throughout her dance career, she received training and scholarships at various intensives including Ballet Arizona and ABT. Her professional career includes dancing as a commercial dancer represented by Bloc LA Talent Agency in Los Angeles, Festival Ballet of Providence, later Ballet RI, Ballet Palm Beach, and currently Ballet San Antonio. She has been able to perform featured roles in Swan Lake, Giselle, Firebird, Carmen, Peter Pan, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Balanchine’s Serenade and Tarantella, along many others. Throughout her career she has been fortunate enough to have worked closely with choreographers such as Sofiane Sylve, Yury Yanowksy, Kathleen Breen Combes, Viktor Plotnikov, and Misha Djuric. When not performing, Jessica enjoys teaching Ballet and Contemporary to students and serving as a judge for National Dance Competitions across the country.
