Level 3 Ballet, Jazz, Hip-hop, Tap, Modern, Musical Theater, Flamenco and Folklorico are for dancers ages 12-13 with 3-4 years of training. Level 3 is the lower intermediate level. In each individual discipline, students will build on existing technique, vocabulary and repertoire while working towards advancement in their discipline.
Level 4 Ballet (Pre-Pointe) are for dancers ages 11 with 5 years of training and meet the requirements for pointe work. Pre-Pointe Ballet is a class designed for students who are preparing to transition from ballet flats to pointe shoes. This class aims to develop the necessary strength, technique, and alignment required for pointe work. Students will work on exercises to improve their balance, foot and ankle strength, and overall body alignment.
Level 4 Ballet, Jazz, Hip-hop, Tap, Modern, Musical Theater, Flamenco and Folklorico are for dancers ages 12-13 with 4-6 years of training. Level 4 is the upper intermediate level. In each individual discipline, students will build on existing technique, vocabulary and repertoire while working towards advancement in their discipline.
Level 5 Ballet, Jazz, Hip-hop, Tap, Modern, Musical Theater, Flamenco and Folklorico are for dancers ages 14+ with 6-8 years of training. Level 5 is the advanced/ semi-professional level. In each individual discipline, students will build on existing technique, vocabulary and repertoire while working towards advancement in their discipline.
Pre-Teen/Teen Ballet open to dancers that are between 11-15 that are brand new to ballet or coming back to the discipline. This class is designed for recreational dancers or those that have a small gap in their training.
Adult Program (Ballet, Jazz/Hip-hop, Tap, Barre and Stretch) for anyone (14+) who wants to learn dance or perform. With offerings in ballet, tap, jazz/hip-hop, barre and musical theater, this program gives options for the adult learner to study many styles at different skill levels, beginner to advanced.
*These classes are independent, meaning parents are not allowed in the classroom. Parent observation is the first full week in March and November. **please note these classes have limited enrollment and fill quickly. Trying the class on a specific day does not guarantee enrollment in that class. Alamo City Arts Academy reserves the right to reassign classes and levels based on the students ability and maturity **
